Meat Claws are an thought that should have happened a long time ago. I was looking on Amazon for a gift for a buddy of mine, who loves making pulled pork dishes, and I ran across this item referred to as a meat claw. They caught my interest because, at first glance, it reminded me of something my grandma utilized, in the back of her hair, to keep it in place. I checked out some of the positive critiques and some of the not so good reviews about them and it seemed that even the more negative reviews agreed that they seemed to be the greatest invention ever for pulling pork and that was what I was buying them for, so I decided to give them a whirl. By the way, dont you just really like the idea that nothing you acquire on Amazon is a financial risk because of the rock solid money back guarantee that you get on products you get there? I liked what I saw about them so much that I ordered a pair for myself, just due to the fact they were so inexpensive and I wanted to play about with them, myself, to see how many other things I could dream up to do with them in the kitchen. It didnt take much time, with Prime shipping, until I had those babies in my hands and my initial use with them had absolutely nothing to do with the kitchen or cooking, but it was a real belly buster of a laugh for me. But more on that in a minute. The meat shredder claws make pulled pork a breeze, just like the reviews I had saw said they would. I was easily able to shred that meat in no time and the nice thing was that in the few occasions I had ever done that in the past, I had employed two forks and they had gotten really hot and challenging to hang on to after a short time...but not so with the claws. The other thing I thought of, after a while, was the idea of tossing a salad with them. I can tell you that there is not any other tool in my kitchen that works this well for undertaking that job. You have far more control, the claws are large enough to grab large amounts of salad and turn them without spilling it all around the countertop...hooray The only downside that Ive identified is that if you do two or more of porks at a time, by the time you get done with the second one, they do become a bit uncomfortable to hold onto...but I have only done that once so it is not a huge deal to me. One other point that I read is that they have a tendency to get meat stuck in the hollow area of the handles but I havent experienced that so I am not certain it is a concern. Oh, yeah, back what I did when I first got them, that was so funny, is when my grand kids, ages three and five were staying with me. They had been hanging about the kitchen making a bit of a nuisance of themselves when I suddenly made a loud, bear like, roar and ran at them with my claw covered hands in the air and they shrieked, running off into the bedroom not to be noticed for a while. I didnt place the "bear claws" anyplace close to them since that would be dangerous, but I didnt have to, it got the job done and we all had a big laugh later. You cannot go wrong with these things. I was also really impressed with this seller simply because they sent me a couple of emails to make certain that I had received the claws and that I was pleased with them.
