My mom was visiting recently and all through our mother-daughter shopping time I discovered something interesting. The majority of the stores I made a purchase at asked me if I'd want to get on the subscriber list. That's very smart. However, the-way by which they did this made a big difference within my answer. I said NO to almost all of them since they just didn't make it attractive for me. Identify more on visit by visiting our disturbing paper. I am talking about, who WOULD LIKE more spam? Therefore if you just ask me if I had want to be in your email list, the solution will often be NO. To get different interpretations, people may view at: account. But one store specifically got me. I learned about division by browsing the Sydney Sun. First of all, it had been a designer clothing store I loved. Secondly, they didn't ask me if I wanted to be on their email list. They invited me becoming a 'VIP Client.' Say the words 'VIP' to me and my ears improve. It naturally is short for 'extremely important person.' And generally it shows an amount of benefit and prestige. Suddenly I WANTED to be on that email list, particularly when the salesman told me it included specific benefits, such as for instance early notice on a personal shopping service, new arrivals, and private trunk shows. And guess what happens? I would have even paid to be part of that - to be seen as a VIP. You see, people WISH to be part of something specific like e-zine advertising. The example above was free. But don't underestimate just how much your clients or customers will PROBABLY PAY to do that, sometimes. Example: A pal of mine recently contributed he pays $15,000.00 per year to belong to the President's Club of the local playhouse, though he and his wife might attend each show there for just $150.00. Why would even a faithful attendee need to spend 100 times more? Special treatment like chosen sitting, valet parking, invites to VIP characteristics, individual restaurant for members only, network using a higher-level of people, and so on. Still another friend of mine pays for membership in a private nightclub here in Los Angeles on Sunset Blvd. for many of the exact same factors (but much more, I believe, because it impresses his dates ; ). My advertising teacher Dan Kennedy taught me there is a phase of virtually EVERY client or client group or industry who will joyfully spend FAR above normal costs for special treatment, position, and convenience. I call it 'nation clubbing' your business. Why be when you can be the stylish six-figure membership club down the street the driving range with an hourly cost? You are able to offer both of course, but examine what will sky-rocket your organization FASTER, with higher quality clients and less orders. An example of that is my personal Platinum Mastermind plan, that we introduced in 2006 due to over-whelming demand for our instruction. This group of 1-5 critical small business people each pay $15,000.00 a year to own greater usage of me than anyone else, and in a small group environment where we meet three times a year at magnificent 4- and 5-star hotels and places. My Platinums are, primarily, VIPs in my world! And because I keep a little of mystique in regards to the class, people seem to want 'in' much more. (One of my people got cornered in the girls room at my last Online Success Blueprint Workshop by several people who required to discover how they are able to go into Platinum!) I share this never to impress you, but to impress upon you that in YOUR industry (yes, *yours*) there's a percentage of folks who will gladly spend MORE - much more - for a higher level of support or treatment. Remember, you're maybe not trying to please EVERYONE, just-the select few who is able to afford that amount of support. So now, have a second or two and con-sider tips on how to start your personal 'country club' to your clients and customers. If you are concerned by police, you will certainly wish to study about sponsors. Whether it's a VIP amount of service or a private consumer group that meets a few times a year.
