Ive had this Innovative water filter in my Chevy since last March and completely forgot about it until we went camping last weekend. When it comes to tools like this, I usually get it for emergencies, but it came in very helpful after a camping "Oops". Clicking Check this out at amazon.com/Survival-Water-Filter-SurvivalHax-Backpacking/dp/B00Y5PHG6W/water filter/ seemingly provides warnings you can use with your sister. One of my girlfriends kids got the drinking water confused and used it as the shower water. By day 2 we had to resort to boiling the water for drinking. Thankfully there was a creek nearby and we were able to refill and boil repeatedly. Thats when I remembered I had the portable water filter in my vehicle, and gave it a whirl. I was able to drink straight from the creek without issues, but it worked best sitting in my water canister. It takes a few seconds for the water to soak into the filter, but once its saturated you can take some big gulps. Im not sure if I would try this in the Nile, but it worked like a charm for me, and I didnt get sick or anything. If youre planning on doing any camping I encourage you to place one of these compact filter straws in your pack, truck, or RV. You never think about your water supply running out, until it does..
